This Chinese Herbal is an effective, reliable remedy for headaches and neuralgia. Good sedative for insomnia, restlessness, hysteria and convulsions, and also known for its traditional treatment of colds, fevers and hypertension. This is one of the few traditional herbals that has a fair bit of modern clinical study attached to it. Stress reliever wonder! I generally use this plant in two forms; fresh plant tincture and dried plant tea. I also like it as a broad-ranging nervous system remedy and a fairly safe herbal remedy for a wide variety of people and problems. If you look closely at the flower, then the leaves and stem – purple with a lip, opposite, square stem = Lamiaceae! A Mint! This mint is not aromatic, but in the same family as Motherwort, Lemon Balm and Catnip. But what kind of mint is this? Bonus points for Latin name!
