Triceratops, T. rex and Friends

Seeing into History at RBG through the eyes of a TriceratopsToday – January 27th 2013 brings dinosaurs to Royal Botanical Gardens! RAWR!!  We’ve travelled back in time to the Cretaceous Period, the time when T. rex and Triceratops were the master’s of their environments. Walk into our atrium and immediately you are engrossed in life-size replicas of these two beasts brought to life by the tropical plants and sounds of the gardens. T. rex stands tall poised for attack; Triceratops bends low, braced for defense. I was never a kid fascinated with dinosaurs, but I am a kid fascinated with plants. So in 3 … 2 … 1 … Let’s GO! Let’s get our plant nerd on and learn all about the plants of the Cretaceous Period!
